It has nearly been two years since Donado Stone put out music and the excitement for his latest single is too much to hold in. The new single is set to be released on the 6th January 2022 and features Nairobi-based rapper Kiburu. The song is said to be different from any of his previous work and it is set to be the first single off his upcoming mixtape and is produced by Autum Kray.
‘IGotU’ is said to set a direction for his upcoming project yet to be announced but according to a member of his team, the project is to be released in early 2022.
When we reached out Donado Stone said “This new single is something else, I did not expect it to turn out that way, but it did, and adding Kiburu to the record was a match made in heaven; we work so well together and the vibe was just right. After the song was complete, I remember having a conversation with Autum about it and we realized that this was it, at that moment and we trusted ourselves with the direction we picked to go with.” He further talked about his inspiration for the cover art, “The cover art was done by my friend and creative director for this project, Smilo. We were thinking of a different direction but when he suggested we use the Greek historical direction, I immediately accepted it as I have a rater deep connection to that culture; it was like it was meant to be.“
